Like other areas of this ministry, the media opportunities have come about organically. In other words, we have not sought such opportunities but have simply responded to the invitation.
In 2020 during the time the movie was being released, Earl Shelton, the general manager of WYTI Radio contacted JT. WYTI is the local station in Rocky Mount that broadcasts on 1570 AM, 104.5 FM, and simulcasts on the internet. Earl invited JT and Terri-Lee along with CJ and Fernanda Martin to share their story about how everything unfolded.
What was originally expected to be a 15 minute segment, turned into an entire hour long program. They were able to tell as much of the story as could be fit into an hour long program. A couple of days after it aired JT got a call back from Earl saying that he wanted to know if they wanted to start doing a 30 minute radio show every Sunday.
The first half hour show aired on December 20th, 2020. They have been broadcasting a new episode every Sunday since from 10:30 am to 11:00 am. The show consists of ministry experiences, testimonies, and what God is doing in their lives and how scripture can be applied to our lives today. The weekly program is sponsored by Kathy Orr.
That has lead us into wanting to turn our radio show into a podcast so that we can expand our audience and other people who have been involved with our ministry but are outside the distance that WYTI broadcasts can still listen to our show.
